Job Description

Summary: Operates tube bending machines to bend metal tubing to the desired curvature(s).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:

  • Performs production work such as a one bend operation on bending machines after level A and B operation has been processed.
  • Checks finished parts to saw fixtures or assembly jigs with use of measuring instruments.
  • Performs rework, repair, clean up and other associated operations relating to the work described.
  • Assists higher classified workers as required.
  • Follow all Senior policies and procedure.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or 1- 3 months related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills:

  • Language: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Mathematical Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability: Must have the ability to identify and resolve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Other Abilities: Ability to read and interpret blue prints.

Tools used:

  • Uses tube bending machines, hand tools, measuring instruments such as micrometers, protractors, scales, calipers, ultrasound thickness gage, measuring tape, rules and pie tape.

Materials used:

  • Ferrous and non-ferrous metals and their alloys, and Lubricants.

Annual Target Salary = $47,840.00
