Reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer, this role plays a vital role in ensuring the health, safety and competitive readiness of Widener's 21 varsity athletic teams. Ideal candidates will be available for hire in spring 2026 with a start date no later than August 1, 2026. Widener University, a NCAA Division III Commonwealth Conference member of the Middle Atlantic Conferences, is currently seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer in the Widener University Department of Athletics. Reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer, this role provides support to Widener's 21 athletic teams throughout the academic year. The Assistant Athletic Trainer is a member of the athletic training staff responsible for providing high-quality care for the student-athletes participating on the 21 NCAA Division III varsity teams. The primary objective is to help provide the safest possible sports experience for the student-athletes by preventing as many injuries as possible, and properly managing the injuries that do occur. Additional responsibilities may be assigned in areas such as committee work, and administrative duties.
