This position is responsible for managing and overseeing the financial aspects of aggregate inventory and associated reserves, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations and effective inventory management.

Minimum Requirements:



  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.


Preferred Requirements:



  1. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  2. Experience working in a construction or manufacturing related industry.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory or general accounting preferred.


Duties and/or Responsibilities:



  1. Oversee accurate records of aggregate inventory items setup and transactions, including receipts, consumption and production entries and inventory adjustments.
  2. Perform regular reconciliations of physical inventory counts with system records and resolve discrepancies.
  3. Analyze inventory costs and variances, provide insights to support financial decision-making. Updating the value of inventory to reflect changes in cost, market conditions or other factors
  4. Oversee efforts to comply with standard processes related to inventory accounting a reporting.
  5. Oversee financial controls and policies to safeguard the organization's inventory assets.
  6. Work closely with procurement, production and sales team to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.
  7. Assist with annual pricing and dynamic pricing analysis.
  8. Oversee the annual review of inventory for obsolescence.
  9. Perform the regular review of depletion rates, impairments and reserve disclosure reporting.
  10. Oversee the monthly close process related to aggregate inventory and depletion entries.
  11. Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to inventory.
  12. Travel will be required including overnight stays.
  13. Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  14. Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  1. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and proficiency in accounting software.
  2. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing inventory records and process.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
