Benefits:
  • Benefit Administration in HRIS system enrolling employees, managing deductions and maintaining Employee Benefit Files.
  • Assist the Benefit Analyst and Benefit Specialist with benefit administration.
  • Assist employees with Flexible Spending/HSA Accounts and COBRA.
  • Assist in the facilitation of the company's annual Open Enrollment Process.
  • Assist with the monthly carrier billing for all benefit plans.

Responsibilities
HR Operations and Compliance:
  • Coordinate the random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and return-to-duty drug and alcohol testing. Serve as the point of contract for all drug testing program inquires and communications with managers. Act as owner of the drug testing portal with the vendor, monitor results, point person to address issues.
  • Oversee fit-for-duty testing, including medical clearances, physical ability assessments, and follow-up evaluations as required. Serve as the point of contact for managers for fitness for duty needs. Partner with vendor as the liaison between HR, Manager, and Employee.
  • Partner with testing vendors and medical review officers (MROs) to ensure timely scheduling, reporting, and compliance.
  • Be the Designated Employer Representative for the company.
  • Maintain confidential and compliant records of all testing activities in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate testing procedures, policies, and results (as permitted) to managers and employees with professionalism and discretion.
  • Monitor regulatory changes related to drug testing, workplace safety, and fit-for-duty requirements, updating internal processes accordingly.
Data Administrator:
  • Prepare reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings to be presented to senior leadership.
  • Conduct or assist with audits across payroll, benefits HR administration, labor, etc.
  • Assist departmental budgets.
  • Own all reporting responsibilities for the HR function in partnership with other corporate functions including accounting, finance, IT, risk & safety, operations, etc.
  • Work across the team to monitor and ensure highest possible data quality.
  • Maintain the HR Dashboard and update as needed.
  • Create detailed spreadsheets, charts and analysis for data presentation.
  • Assist Benefits & Compensation Director and Specialist with many aspects of pay analysis, job and compensation architecture, reporting to operations.
  • Gain strong understanding of HR Data and Reporting and assist as back up for Compensation and Compliance Specialist.

Skills & Qualifications
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources (or other related area) preferred, but not required.
  • 1-3 Years of Benefits Experience.
  • Multi-state benefit experience preferred but not required
  • Organization skills are a must.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Ability to Multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate/present benefits programs to large groups of employees (as needed).
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff and employees.
  • Proficiency in use of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Experience with HR database systems (HRIS) and Payroll Systems (i.e. - Paycom, ADP, Ceridian, Exponent HR, etc.) is desired.
  • A valid state driver's license and meet the company's insurability requirements
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
