        |  |  | Description Summary/Purpose of the Position:
 The Sales Account Manager develops new business, stimulates sales growth of existing and new accounts, manages all region leads, on-boards new customers, and sells the entire range of products and services. This role is focused on small-medium-sized customer segments with approximately 250-350 revenue significant accounts in an assigned region. The Sales Account Manager's bonus is based on GP Growth for assigned accounts and is responsible for achieving assigned account sales and profit goals, as well as activity-based metrics.
 Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:  
 
     
 Responsible for qualifying new sales leadsCoordinates order management activities: order entry, contract review, on-time delivery performance, inventory maintenance, special handling requirements, product specification maintenance, returns, and any other customer-related activities in support of customer requirementsEngages in Re-Activation campaigns within a given region focused on re-engaging dormant accountsCollaborates with internal and external resources when identifying emerging customer needs, cost savings opportunities, competitive threats, and revenue enhancement opportunitiesDevelops and monitors sales plan to achieve annualized account-level goalsContinually develop and expand product and technical knowledge in support of customer basePerforms timely follow up on quotes and inquiriesLeverages the Company's Value Proposition when identifying opportunities for Platinum Suppliers, MRO, Documented Cost Savings, Value-Added and Vending SolutionsCoordinates with Marketing on lead follow up activities resulting from Platinum Supplier or key market-focused campaignsMonitor key performance indicators to identify gaps in customer profitability or service levels and proactively work with cross-functional resources (operations, procurement, quality, finance, sales, etc.) to resolveDelivers clear, well-organized presentations over the phone; demonstrates understanding of the audience's needs and interestsSchedules in-person visits with selected customers as neededRecords/maintains all customer-related and sales activity information in CRM system to enable 360-degree view of customerIndirectly and directly responsible for product quality.Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 
 
     
 Bachelor's degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or Business Administration2+ years of industrial sales experienceDocumented Cost SavingsClient Relationships Management SkillsMotivation and Inspiration for Sales Growth and DevelopmentDemonstrated ability to meet established sales goalsTerritory ManagementProfessional, Friendly Customer-Focused Team PlayerProficient in MS Office Word, Excel & PowerPointExcellent Verbal and Written Communications SkillsGood Interpersonal, Time Management, and Presentation Skills Daily and or Weekly travel visits to existing and potential customer sites is requiredAttendance at a variety of business meetings throughout the year is required
