Greets the guest, provides direction and assistance, and creates a positive first impression of Schweitzer. Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities: Provide information of the mountain area as well as the services of Schweitzer Mountain. Meet and greet guests at their arrival, help with directions, information, a welcoming smile and assistance with gear if necessary. Provide village communication, direction and support to staff and guests. Assist parking staff by providing direction to guests exiting vehicles. May help to provide mountain activities which can include campfires, event support, crafts, movies, etc. Oversee general village presentation including removal of snow from village furniture, resetting safety rope lines, tidiness. Shovel snow, haul firewood and assist carrying guest equipment. Secondary Responsibilities: Shovel snow Other duties as assigned Specific Job Skills: License/Certifications - None Technical - None Physical Capabilities - Ability to stand for entirety of shift. Exposure to extreme outdoor elements. Will lift 10 pounds frequently and 50 pounds rarely. Additional - None Education/Related Experience: Minimum education required - None Minimum time in related position - Skiing or Snowboard experience preferred.
