Provide initial and ongoing guest contact for participants in Schweitzer activities including hosted snowshoe hikes, guided snowmobile tours, guided cat skiing and others. Provide general information and sell activities to guests. Staff will work in the Activity Center on a regular basis answering phones and emails and providing customer service. Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities: Host the Activity Center, greet guests, answer guest questions, and providing information to prospective and current guests Present a welcoming face for new and returning guests. Assist participants in preparing for their booked activity. Contact guests prior to arrival and ensure all pre-arrival information is complete. Check guests in and provide welcoming environment. Understand and promote Schweitzer owned business, and mountain retailers for the sales of their activities/products Actively market activities and events on and off the mountain to guests, potential guests and groups. Financially accountable for sales and billing functions of the Activity Center. Secondary Responsibilities: Shovel snow May assist with outdoor activities including tubing, snowshoe hike, and village games. Other duties as assigned Specific Job Skills: License/Certifications - None Technical - Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office and Point of Sale system Sirius. Physical Capabilities - Fairly sedentary, 8 hours combined walking, standing and sitting. May lift up to 40 pounds rarely. Additional - Excellent people and relationship building skills. Detailed, accurate, organized. Education/Related Experience: Minimum education required - Some college preferred Minimum time in related position - Customer service experience preferred. Resort experience preferred. Winter Sports enthusiast and knowledge of mountain environment preferred.
