Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Payroll Analyst to oversee payroll operations across a multi-state, multi-entity environment. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this is a critical role that blends day-to-day payroll execution while ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated payroll professional to make an immediate impact in a high-growth, constantly evolving organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the payroll process for ~1,300 employees across 47+ states and the UK.
  • Oversee, process, and reconcile bi-weekly U.S. payrolls; manage monthly international payroll (via partner provider).
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including review of 941s, W-2s, and state-specific filings.
  • Manage payroll impacts of M&A activity, acquisitions, and organizational changes with adaptability and precision.
  • Act as team lead, providing mentorship, training, and day-to-day leadership.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and liaison between third party vendors, HR, and Finance; understand integrations and API data flows.
  • Administer incentive programs, including quarterly variable pay, annual bonuses, retention awards, spot bonuses, and commissions.
  • Partner with Finance on payroll-related GL reconciliations, reporting, and audits.
  • Maintain and enhance payroll controls and processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and readiness for future system transitions.
  • Support equity compensation and off-cycle stock payroll processing (with future equity program to be implemented).
  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations while driving continuous process improvements.

Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of payroll experience for organizations larger than 1,000 employees
  • Strong hands-on expertise with multi-state payroll processing and payroll tax compliance.
  • CPP or FPC certification strongly preferred (or willingness to pursue).
  • Experience with HRIS integrations a plus (understanding of how APIs and data flows work)
  • Experience supporting payroll through M&A integrations or organizational change.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate across HR, Benefits, Finance, and executive leadership.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Familiarity with SOX controls a plus.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
