The School of Arts and Sciences (
SAS) is the largest academic unit at Rutgers University and the center of the undergraduate experience on the Rutgers-New Brunswick campus and is comprised of 41 academic departments spanning the liberal arts.

Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator II for the School of Arts and Sciences - Undergraduate Education department. This position works closely with the Faculty Director for the Lloyd C. Gardner Fellowship Program. Reports directly to the Associate Director of Finance and Administration for
OUE.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Provides administrative and programmatic support to the SAS Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) with particular attention to the Lloyd C. Gardner Fellowship Program, including day-to-day operations, coordinating logistics for special events, and conducting outreach and communications with students.
- Assists in course scheduling and management, working closely with the Senior Associate Dean.
- Provides general administrative support to SAS Office of Scholarships.
- Works under direct supervision, with specific instructions on routine or semi-routine work.
- Follows precedents and procedures with general guidelines established by the supervisor and within established work parameters for the unit. Work is usually reviewed upon completion.
- Performs professional work that requires knowledge of general administrative/office management practices and the basic application and use of concepts, theories, and terminology of program administration.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- A bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of program coordination, organization, facilitation, report analysis, writing, and promotion/outreach.

- Good communication skills and computer literacy.
- Must be experienced and comfortable using Microsoft Excel to manipulate, analyze, and present data.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Prefers one year of relevant experience in a program coordination or administrative function, event management.
- Experience working in higher education administration.
- The ideal candidate must be eager to learn new material and skills and be an effective communicator.
- Experience with Canva, social media, events, and project management is preferred.

- Cornerstone and Marketplace, Oracle (journal entries), Course Atlas, Course Scheduling System, REGIS, Rutgers IMS, and other RU systems such as Financial Aid and Student Accounting.

Physical Demands and Work Environment |
- Must be available to work some evenings and weekends each semester for the Lloyd C. Gardner Fellowship Program, SAS special events such as SAS Convocation, Rutgers Day, and other events as requested by Faculty Director, Associate Director, or the Vice Dean.
- Must be punctual and available during core business hours to meet operations needs of office of the office.
- This position must coordinate competing priorities.
- Must be able to handle interruptions and quickly re-establish focus on multiple tasks at hand on a continual basis.
