As an IT Portfolio Manager, you will lead strategic planning and execution for a portfolio of critical business applications. You'll partner closely with business and technology leaders to align projects with long-term goals, ensure delivery excellence, and drive continuous improvement across the enterprise. This is a key leadership role with opportunities to influence technology strategy, optimize performance, and mentor a talented team of IT professionals.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the stability, performance, and roadmap of applications within your portfolio, ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies.

  • Partner with business leaders to plan and prioritize initiatives that support long-term goals and operational excellence.

  • Oversee project governance, budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes across multiple programs.

  • Lead and develop a diverse team of IT professionals, fostering growth, collaboration, and accountability.

  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to maintain compliance and transparency.

  • Advocate for business needs within IT forums, ensuring alignment between technology initiatives and organizational objectives.

  • Optimize resource allocation and portfolio financials to maximize efficiency and project impact.

  • Champion continuous improvement in project management methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

  • 7+ years of project and program management experience within a medium to large enterprise

  • Strong knowledge of systems development, project delivery methodologies, and portfolio governance

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

  • 10+ years of experience working with senior leaders and managing large, complex portfolios

  • Experience with PMO structures, best practices, and geographically distributed teams
