Stations Manager IFP Overview:

Sun Country Airlines is seeking a Station Manager at Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport (IFP) to be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Sun Country Airlines' ground operations at the station. This role ensures operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and performance. The Station Manager serves as the primary liaison between Sun Country Airlines and internal staff, contracted vendors, airport administration, airport tenants, and government agencies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders to support Sun Country's operational goals at Laughlin Airport.

  • Provide daily leadership and direction to station staff and contracted service providers to ensure safe, timely, and efficient operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and airport authority regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Act as the primary liaison with airport administration, tenants, vendors, and local government agencies to support station needs and foster positive working relationships.
  • Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and performance for direct reports and ensure vendors meet service-level expectations.
  • Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary to improve performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee and support irregular operations (IROPs) and emergency response situations, providing clear leadership and communication.
  • Conduct regular audits and safety checks to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Coordinate station activities with other Sun Country departments including Flight Operations, Maintenance, and Customer Experience.
  • Represent Sun Country Airlines in airport meetings and on relevant committees as needed.
  • Handle customer service escalations and support frontline staff in maintaining a positive passenger experience.
  • Act as required local agent for Arizona liquor license
  • Assist with other departmental directives and initiatives as necessary
  • Any other duties assigned by management


Required Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in airline or airport operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong knowledge of airport operations, ground handling, and regulatory compliance (FAA, TSA, DOT)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to work with airline operational systems
  • Must be able to obtain airport SIDA badge and pass required background checks


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience managing third-party vendors or contract service providers
  • Previous airline station management experience


Compensation:

Pay range: $56,000 - $63,000 USD annually. This is the base compensation hiring range for this role.

Work Environment:

This job operates in an airport terminal. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may become high at various times.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands or finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. This position will be required to occasionally push/pull up to 300 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
