The Lead position provides an opportunity to lead a group of pharmacy technicians, inventory assistants, and pharmacy clerks to complete essential inventory tasks. In addition, the Lead could work with McKesson purchasing teams and onsite customers on formulary requests. The Inventory Lead role is the perfect stepping stone to a management position. The ideal candidate is comfortable working as the liaison between management and supporting the team. Key Responsibilities:
- Knowledgeable in evaluation of product daily supply inventory (DSI) and leader of product price change requests to meet contractual obligations with customers.
- Provide training and mentorship for inventory associates. Ensure that production or quality goals are met.
- Leads a small group of team members to complete the weekly cycle count process or short-date checks.
- Leads will own the research process to diagnose inventory discrepancies and report findings with corrective solution(s).
- Engages with all members of the production floor, builds professional relationships, and is readily available to answer any inventory-related questions.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment and identify opportunities to improve receiving or put-away processes.
- Oversees the filled and billed process and ensures contractual data is being submitted to customers daily.
- Ensures financial transactions are reconciled between the pharmacy system's Balance on Hand and the SAP database.
- Initiates communication between Finance/Accounting teams with SAP to resolve promptly.
- Oversees a small group of team members in the product decrement process, handling the removal of expired/damaged and non-returnable products.
- Review daily reports to ensure the product will be on hand for specialty patients the next day, tracking and prioritizing the site's reclamation process and dispositions for credit returns.
- Secure control drug cabinets and ensure proper record keeping.
- Monitor recall notices and quarantine any affected product.
- Generate reports to maintain slotting velocity, make drug moves for optimal performance.
- Reconcile PO discrepancies and maintain error logs.
- Initiate returns of overstock or short-dated products back to the DC using SAP.
- Follow i-Care, i-Lead practices consistently, align goals and communication with leadership. May be trusted to sit-in on disciplinary actions and leadership meetings.
- Unload truck, receive, and put-away product using a RF scanner.
- Perform any additional tasks as required by leadership; may be needed to run production floor.
- Monitor consumables/raw goods inventory and order as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workspace. Follow all safety protocols at the highest level.
Shift Details: Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Monthly Rotational Saturdays - Overtime as needed. Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of related experience
Critical Skills:
- Experienced in analyzing data and operational conditions in real-time and adjusting as needed
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills. Both verbal and written communication are used to support the business.
- Proficient in computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
- Minimum of 5 years of Inventory experience.
- Experience/knowledge of the SAP program.
Education:
- Pharmacy Technician License
Preferred Skills:
- RF Scanner experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to select, lift, and carry objects (up to 20 - 25 lbs.) regularly.
- Operate pallet jack, hand truck, or dolly.
- Safe operation of a box cutter to cut cases of product.
- Extensive walking and standing (8+ hours/day)
- Requires bending, twisting, reaching ,and grasping.
- Use of a step ladder to reach the product
