Essential Functions

  • Create instructional materials (online and classroom presentations, including lab exercises and skills journals) targeted to a technical audience

  • Identify learning objectives, performance outcomes, apply instructional design theories and methods, and evaluative strategies to deliver content, including consulting with program owners and subject matter experts to identify learning gaps and content requirements

  • Deliver all instructional and supporting materials to the Global Training Team in an organized, consistent, and efficient way to ensure effortless consumption

  • Establish and maintain training libraries and repositories whilst ensuring the highest level of security and appropriate distribution of access levels

  • Contribute to the design, organization and distribution of assessments to measure knowledge retention and effectiveness of courses

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize workload when receiving content development requests from multiple cross-functional teams

  • Thorough understanding of target audiences and adapt content development to it, while maintaining the desired expectations of all stakeholders

  • In-depth knowledge of instructional design principles (i.e., ADDIE model, Bloom's Taxonomy), learning models, best practices, and adult learning theory

  • Ability to work independently during development cycles, delivering content on time while meeting all project requirements, and will help guide more junior team members

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.), eLearning software tools (Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia), or other relevant tools, including translation platform

  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, etc.) to both internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to publish content for an eLearning platform

  • Knowledgeable on cloud-based Learning Management Systems (LMS)

  • Experience with incorporating multiple media elements into learning programs including audio, video, animation, simulation, and self-developed graphics

  • Mentors and coaches team members to collaborate effectively on assigned projects and ensure a constructive environment for sharing ideas, developing methodologies, and fostering creativity

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education technology or engineering related disciplines or equivalent work experience

  • Experience in machine vision and industrial automation is desirable

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in instructional design/eLearning development in an engineering-related field

  • Must possess English language proficiency (spoken and written) as a minimum for the role
