Torch Technologies is seeking a Junior Aerospace Engineer to support a US Army Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) HWIL lab. As a Junior Aerospace Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to: Process flight test telemetry and simulation data. Develop simulation inputs and execute. Support analysis of missile flight test telemetry and simulation data to evaluate performance. Support the generation of quick-turn data products or briefings. Develop software applications to process flight test telemetry, simulation data, and Optical Signatures Code (OSC) inputs and outputs. Less than 10% travel to support flight test events, as needed. Job Requirements: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in Aerospace Engineering or related discipline is required. 2 years related aerospace engineering experience. Ability to collaborate in a multi-contractor team environment to respond to short-notice requests for data. Ability to work independently to develop new analysis tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience with MATLAB. Experience with Object-Oriented Software Development (e.g., Java or C++). Knowledge of software debugging. Knowledge of software algorithms. Strong Mathematics background. The position requires that the candidate currently holds an active secret level security clearance to access classified information. Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in the candidate being ineligible for this position. Preferred: Familiarity with Linux Operating Systems and Shell scripting. Familiarity with Python. EO/IR Seeker experience. Experience with missile defense systems, modeling and simulation, and statistical analyses. Experience with Git source management tool. Experience with exploratory data analysis.
