DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio equipment, as well as using networked computers to program, control, and troubleshoot complex lighting systems and distributed audio or paging systems. Duties include installing and repairing audio lines essential to the operation of the public announcement system, paging needs, and production sound. You will work closely with event promoters and administrative staff to ensure the correct placement of microphones and other audio equipment to meet customer needs. Additionally, you will maintain and operate an electrical power distribution system, monitor power distribution switchboards to manage electrical power, and assist with a medium voltage substation utilizing status boards, relays, switches, and breakers. This role requires working with live ("hot") electrical systems while strictly following safety protocols, including the use of appropriate protective gear and adherence to safety procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Successful completion of the Electrician Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, components, and equipment; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of a valid license as a journey-level electrician issued by the local Pennsylvania jurisdiction.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- Experience working in environments with crowds and animals
