DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position is located within the Department of Human Services, specifically in the Office of Income Maintenance and the Bureau of Child Support Enforcement (BCSE), part of the Division of Central Operations. The role requires both independent work and collaboration within a team, focusing on delivering outstanding customer service to a wide array of stakeholders, including the Child Support Enforcement community, the public, business partners, state and federal agencies, courts, and legislators.
Key responsibilities involve assisting callers via the helpline, providing education, addressing inquiries, and directing them to suitable resources while ensuring confidentiality. You will also manage acknowledgment of paternity forms for the voluntary acknowledgment of paternity program, ensuring compliance with data requirements and maintaining the integrity of Pennsylvania's putative father registry. Additionally, you will oversee various enforcement programs, create and distribute educational materials, and, after the probation period, take on tasks such as responding to the BCSE Helpline and reviewing documents and petitions independently. Furthermore, you will play a role in developing new systems and offering insights on current programs and policies. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week, upon successful completion of probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of experience in a domestic relations office which included the interpretation, application and explanation of policies and regulations and analysis of information; or
- A bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training including one year in a domestic relations office which included the interpretation, application and explanation of policies and regulations and analysis of information.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Legal Requirements:
- This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment. Under Pub 1075, acceptance of a conditional offer of employment will require submission to and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to: a fingerprint-based federal records check; a PA State Police clearance; a check of local law enforcement agencies where you have lived, worked, and/or attended school within the last five (5) years; and a citizenship/residency verification.
