Job Opening: Benefits Specialist (Contract) - TEKsystems x Valeris Location: Remote Start Date: October 2025 Contract Duration: 4 months Pay Rate: $18-$21/hour Training Schedule: TBD TEKsystems is partnering with Valeris to hire a Benefits Specialist who is passionate about patient care and thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments. This role supports healthcare benefit investigations and patient outreach, making a direct impact on access to care. Key Responsibilities * Conduct ~10 outbound calls/day to clarify missing or unclear benefit details * Perform full benefit investigations using provided scripts and call guides * Handle inbound patient inquiries regarding application status and missing information * Document findings in the Summary of Benefits for providers * Maintain accurate and thorough case notes in the Lynk system Required Skills * Customer service * Health insurance knowledge * Call center experience * Familiarity with medical terminology Preferred Qualifications * High attention to detail and documentation accuracy * Adaptability to change and shifting priorities * Empathetic, patient-focused communication style * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel is a plus) * Experience handling high call volumes or large-scale data Must-Have Experience * Basic understanding of medical terminology and insurance * Proven call center and customer service experience * Benefit verification experience (especially pharmaceutical) is a strong plus If you're ready to make a difference and meet the qualifications above, apply now to join a team that values precision, empathy, and impact.
