LocationDuke Hospital (Pediatric Sleep Lab) Durham, North Carolina Work Schedule: The training schedule for the first 90 days is: Fridays 11 am-11:30 pm Saturdays 6:30 pm-7 am Sundays 6:30 pm-7 am After 90 days you would select what 3 nights you would like to work as a permanent schedule. You can choose to work all 3 shifts back-to-back (like Sunday/Monday/Tuesday) or split it up (like Sunday/ Wednesday/Thursday). General Summary Incumbents in this classification will participate in an approved apprentice or trainee program established by DUHS. These programs, developed in partnership with institutions of higher learning or professional organizations, require participants to work under the license, registry, or certification of a qualified trainer to develop competencies in their specialized area of study. During this first 90 days you would work closely with a preceptor who will give you the hands on technical skills to complete a patient hook-up and basics of understanding the raw data that is collected during a sleep study. Work Performed Goals and expectations will be clearly defined at the start of the program, as per program guidelines.
