The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a Mobile Crisis Response Team Supervisor to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. The Mobile Response Clinician provides clinical services to individuals in crisis within the community by completing screens/intakes and appropriate assessments, conducting therapy sessions, and providing the support necessary for stabilization and release. The Mobile Response Clinician will report to the Crisis Stabilization Center and additionally provide fill in Clinical support as necessary. This position is PRN (evenings required; Monday-Sunday 6-10 PM). Pay and Benefits:
Primary Duties: 1. Conduct clinical assessments/intakes for new clients in the community, provide clinical recommendations for mental health services within 24 business hours of referral. 2. Provide brief psychotherapy and motivational interviewing for identified individuals, as needed. 3. Provided Clinical support as needed to the Team and Consumers at Guiding Lights Crisis Center. 4. Assist identified individuals in accessing recommended services such as inpatient hospitalization, substance abuse services, rehabilitation services, and psychiatric services. 5. Manage program performance to ensure medically necessary services are provided in the quality and quantity needed to promote individuals' stabilization. 6. Complete mental health screens for involuntary commitment for incarcerated individuals and as part of crisis services at Guiding Lights, for Mobile Crisis or hospital admissions. 7. Attend court as needed to provide mental health updates on assessed individuals or to testify on involuntary hospitalization screens. 8. Support any over-flow need for related follow up as designated by the Clinical Crisis Team. 9. Inform the Crisis Director of all relevant issues related to staffing, incarcerated individuals care, and programming. 10. Participate on behalf of the Crisis Director at meetings as needed. 11. Act on behalf of the Crisis Director in their absence, in providing directions to staff. EDUCATION AND LICENSURE: Required: Master's degree in social work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counseling, and licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a LMSW, LMLP, LMFT, LPC, LSCSW, LCP, LCPC OR LCMFT by the first day of employment.
