Job Description

Assures accurate receipt of all incoming material, proper labeling and location storing of items. Deliver both raw materials and purchased items to the production areas as needed. Transport all job materials along with job travelers to correct work centers. Accurately maintain inventory levels at each workstation to support production.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Tracking and maintaining an accurate count of all electrical components, such as circuit breakers, wiring, terminals, and enclosures. The coordinator uses an inventory management system to monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies.
  • Perform kitting, which is the process of grouping all the necessary parts for a specific electrical panel assembly into a single package or kit, ready for the assembly technicians.
  • Coordinate the movement of materials within the shop, ensuring that the right parts are available at the right assembly station at the right time. This requires an understanding of the production schedule and close communication with the assembly team.
  • Pull parts from inventory, issue to work orders, and deliver to correct work center.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift.

Skills and Abilities



  • Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

  • Safety Consciousness: Knowledge and adherence to safety protocols and standards are crucial as the job involves working with forklifts and a production environment.

  • Experience: Prior forklift certification and movement of materials in a warehouse environment

  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy of inventory counts, correct kitting, and ensuring the right components are used for each panel.

  • Computer Skills: Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Product

  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

  • Physical Requirements: The job often requires lifting and moving boxes, as well as standing or walking for extended periods in a warehouse or shop environment.
