Regional Wastewater Operation Superintendent Pay Grade: 617 Location: Water/Wastewater Facilities Vacancy Announcement Nature Of The Work Safety Sensitive Position WC 7580 Brief Description The purpose of this position is to provide supervision and management functions to wastewater treatment plants. This is accomplished by managing personnel and monitoring performance; performing plant inspections for safety and appropriate plant operations; ensuring regulatory compliance; maintaining a safety-oriented work environment; facilitating employee training; and completing administrative duties. Responsibilities include developing annual budgets for approval, monitoring budgets throughout the year, reviewing lab reports and monthly operation reports, reporting non-compliance for all collection and treatment facilities to TCEQ, preparing TCEQ annual sludge reports, meeting with customers, responding to emergencies, communicating with internal and external customers, preparing internal reports, managing capital projects, reviewing and amending risk management plans, and ensuring safety inspection compliance. Other responsibilities include developing costs for proposals, ensuring regulatory compliance, working with other departments, superintendents, and managers to accomplish the overall objectives of the Authority, and performing any other duties as assigned.
