Regional Water Operations Superintendent Pay Grade: 617 Location: Water/Wastewater Facilities Vacancy Announcement Nature Of The Work Safety Sensitive Position WC 7580 Brief Description The purpose of this position is to provide supervision and management functions for the water treatment plants, water conveyance and raw water pump stations. This is accomplished by managing personnel and monitoring performance; performing plant inspections for safety and appropriate plant operations; ensuring regulatory compliance; maintaining a safety-oriented work environment; facilitating employee training; and completing administrative duties. Responsibilities include reviewing compliance reports; managing plant budgets; responding to emergencies; setting schedules for operations staff; prioritizing, scheduling, managing, and working on Authority projects; communicating objectives to facility personnel and communicating with internal and external customers; responding to customer requests; and working with a team on establishing standard operating procedures and guidelines for facility safety and job duties. Responsible for involvement in the development and implementation of major expansion upgrades. Other duties include developing costs for proposals; attending meetings; providing oversight of the maintenance work order system; working with other departments, superintendents, and managers to accomplish the overall objectives of the Authority; and performing any other duties as assigned.
