The University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for a bilingualEducation Recruitment and Retention Coordinator in the School of Education department. This position is focused on recruiting students into the program and retaining them to complete a credential. Responsibilities involve planning, developing, coordinating, managing, and executing the recruitment and admissions process in alignment with the institution's strategic goals.This position may be eligible for travel to assist with recruiting efforts to help represent the institution to prospective students with a goal of attracting, admitting, and enrolling a talented student body.

This is a two year, full-time position eligible for benefit andpaid leave, with a salary of $50,000 - $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience. It is aproject-based role, with possibility of continuation based on funding availability. The position offers the flexibility to work remotely, provided the candidate can attend monthly on-campus visits to collaborate with colleagues and participate in necessary in-person activities as needed.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to recruitment and retention efforts for the Child Care and Education Credential Program through data-informed decision making.

  • Counsel prospective and admitted students on educational planning and career opportunities.

  • Review, evaluate, and respond to student applications according to established policies and procedures.

  • Manage Child Care and Education Credential Program scholarships.

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for the Child Care and Education Credential Program and respond to prospective student inquiries in English and Spanish.

  • Develop, coordinate, and manage efforts to increase student enrollment and credential completion.

  • Support outreach and recruitment efforts by identifying opportunities for and developing admissions and outreach events.

  • Schedule logistics and secure resources for events to promote the Institution.

  • Work with the program manager to support students and resolve issues.

  • Identify, promote, and maintain internal and external partnerships focusing on outreach, recruitment, and admission.

  • Create targeted communication plans and materials based on established goals.

  • Engage in outreach and recruitment events, representing the university to prospective students.

  • Evaluate the student recruitment, admission, and registration processes and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Deliver directed admissions program messaging to internal and external audiences.

  • Lead recruitment and retention programs for the Child Care and Education Credential Program through data-informed decision making.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, communications, business, or related field from an accredited institution

  • Proficiency in English and Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.

  • Minimum of 1-3 years' experience working in a student services, customer support, teaching, communications, or marketing related role

  • Highly organized self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Basic statistical knowledge and quantitative reasoning.

  • High level of personal integrity, dedication, creativity, flexibility, and initiative.

  • Customer service oriented: strives to create positive experiences and connections as students interface with all facets of the Child Care and Education Credential Program.

  • Ability to use multiple computer platforms and tools to support engagement and accessibility for a wide variety of internal and external audiences.

  • Systems thinker: ability to see the bigger picture and make meaningful connections for opportunities that support integration and efficiency, improvement, and greater impact.
