Position Overview:
At the Space Dynamics Laboratory, we take pride in and highly value our employees. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jira Support Assistant to join our team. Comprehensive training will be provided to help you support our team effectively. Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively engages in training to understand Jira as a project management tool, with the guidance of a Jira Administrator
  • Provides basic technical support and leverage scripting skills to assist users effectively and resolve issues
  • Assists with managing user accounts and permissions for Jira and Confluence, gaining practical experience in user support
  • Helps set up and configure Jira projects, workflows, and boards, while learning best practices along the way
  • Participates in meetings to gather insights on project requirements and contribute feedback for system improvements, fostering collaboration with various teams
  • Shows enthusiasm for learning Jira, Confluence, and software development methodologies to support your professional growth
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year remaining in school
  • Must be available to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during summer
  • Basic understanding of software development concepts, including scripting skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies
  • Must be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or other US person
