SUMMARY

Ensure the Pharmacy Department operates within all applicable laws, regulations, standards of practice, policies and procedures of the department and the Grady Health System. Ensure workload, productivity, overtime and budget information are gathered and forwarded to the appropriate Pharmacy Supervisor and Manager for review.

Apprize all pharmacy staff of applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Correct problems by bringing violations to those who are not in compliance, by customer concerns relating to pharmacy operations and by staff requests for service outside of standard procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 
  Fully licensed as a pharmacist in the state of Georgia, or eligible for full licensure within 120 days, through reciprocity or exam
• 
  Three years (3) of pharmacy practice experience required
• 
  Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of pharmacy operations, including the professional and business aspects of pharmacy practice
• 
  Familiarity with pharmacy operations and other aspects of the organization, including external organizations
• 
  Ability to communicate effectively and perform job functions associated with the Staff Pharmacist, technicians and cashiers
• 
  Effectiveness in professional interactions with peers
• 
  Previous supervisory experience preferred
