Position Summary

Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Data & Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. This entry-level role supports the Global Payroll department by analyzing payroll data, developing dashboards/reporting, and providing insights that improve accuracy, compliance, and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a passion for problem-solving, and an interest in payroll operations, data visualization, and business intelligence tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain payroll dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track payroll trends, anomalies, and workforce analytics.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze payroll data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of payroll processing.
  • Build and maintain pipelines for payroll data extraction and transformation
  • Translate data into actionable insights for business stakeholders
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in reports and dashboards
  • As needed, work cross functionally on ad-hoc data related requests

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field;

typically requires 2-3 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or

a related field

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas) required
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or data querying/manipulation preferred
  • Exposure to scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis
  • Strong communication & collaboration skills with the ability to present data insights clearly
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems/platforms & data for such as Workday, ADP, SAP and Service Now
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$70,100 - $116,900
