More about the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for you as a Lighting Application Specialist, Entertainment, onsite in Dallas, Texas with Signify.

  • Project management including creating and maintaining timely, adequate, and detailed records/job files for all assigned projects.

  • Assesses potential application of company products to meet customer's needs; prepare detailed designs and layouts for the implementation of the appropriate lighting solution.

  • Provide technical support and pre-sale riser diagrams to Regional Sales Managers.

  • Support the Quotations Department in maintaining a current database of existing products; assist in ensuring accuracy on part numbers listed on bill of materials (BOM) while verifying production capabilities.

  • Support production staff on custom jobs and assemble equipment on the production floor, if needed.

  • Provide engineering support and drawings to Research & Development in standardizing products and product development; design and develop custom products to customer specifications and requirements with electrical wiring schematics, as necessary.

More about you

While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:

  • BSEE or BSME and 2+ years' experience in hardware design with knowledge of architectural and theatrical lighting components, control, and systems

  • Experience working with large project drawings and specifications regarding lighting and control

  • 2+ years' experience in AutoCAD, programming and debugging AutoLISP code, and working with DMX/Pathway/Shownet/Streaming ECN protocols

  • Ability to read, understand and translate mechanical and electrical specifications and drawings from customers into Signify's operational format (drawing sets created for submittal to customers)

  • Expert knowledge and understanding of Ethernet networking, components, and signal flow

  • Knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication, engraving, cutting, basic material science; able to work with hardware tools, PCB boards, and electrical wiring

Salary:$60,500 - 88,660 based on experience

Bonus:target bonus opportunity - 5%
