Job Summary and Responsibilities
Acentra Health is looking for a Program Director to join our growing team. This is a remote position, however the candidate must live within a 2-hour commuting distance to the Washington DC area and be ok working onsite quarterly or as needed by the client. Job Summary: The Program Director plays a pivotal role in strategically planning, directing, and overseeing the resources of operational team(s) and ensuring contract compliance and achieving operational and financial goals. They will serve as crucial subject matter expert within their assigned contract or solution area, individuals in this capacity provide leadership for substantial and intricate contracts and their associated team(s). Collaborating closely with key stakeholders in the organization, the Program Director actively contributes to the creation of solutions and fosters growth and development. During the Operations phase, the Program Director is responsible for managing, directing, and monitoring the personnel and activities supporting overall WCMBP medical bill processing and call center operations. The Program Director interfaces with the Government Program Manager (PM) and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) as appropriate. The Program Director appoints a manager to serve as the Information Security Officer to ensure that WCMBP operations are in accordance with Federal information security guidelines and to respond to security incidents as appropriate. The Program Director has authority to hire and terminate employees and make operational decisions that have financial impact. Also, will manage Medical Provider Network (MPN) relations for casualty claims. Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and coordinate the activities of multiple work groups, teams, or operational units. Direct oversight of all management level staff.
- Ensure headcount is rightsized to the operation, considering attrition rates and contractual requirements, while meeting workload and financial targets.
- Develop and maintain an operational infrastructure that includes employee skill set requirements, gap analysis, performance management, and training plans. Create and implement effective retention plans with Human Resources.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements within the operation by monitoring critical indicators, deliverables, and budgets.
- Establish and maintain effective customer rapport and mutually beneficial business relationships.
- Draw on expertise of staff and others for business implementations. Assemble and deploy the resources necessary to ensure success.
- Develop regional long-term and short-term operating and financial goals including budgets and forecasts to ensure effective operations and optimum profitability.
- Work with management team to develop and enhance the operational structure including skill set requirements, gap analysis and training plans through workforce analysis.
- Participate in cross-regional activities to enhance operating efficiencies and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Support and participate in strategic planning and execution to enhance growth, profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the company's operations. Collaborate with leadership in the development of new and enhanced policies and procedures.
- Assist in implementing contracting strategies and programs that reduce cost and maximize revenue streams. Monitor the technical performance (which includes adherence to schedule and cost requirements), resource planning, and evaluations of the services provided by the company.
- Provide advice and assistance in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of modifications to new and existing operations, systems, and procedures.
- Represent the organization at internal, local, state, and national meetings.
- Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Either a BS/BA degree in healthcare/business administration, public health or related field with recent experience of at Twelve (12) years as a Program Manager (or equivalent) and/or Deputy Program Manager (or equivalent) in planning, scheduling and monitoring the personnel and activities supporting overall system design, development, and implementation in a transaction processing environment for a large IT system related to medical bill processing or similar environment
- OR a High School or GED equivalent diploma with recent experience of at least Sixteen (16) years as a Program Manager (or equivalent) and/or Deputy Program Manager (or equivalent) in planning, scheduling and monitoring the personnel and activities supporting overall system design, development, and implementation in a transaction processing environment for a large IT system related to medical bill processing or similar environment
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification within one (1) year after hire.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry and or healthcare insurance; preferably with experience in both public and private sector.
- Minimum of 5 years working in a client facing role managing a multiple specialty and primary MPN providers.
- Minimum of 5 years working with and understanding State Workers Compensation requirements.
- Strong familiarity with the Worker's Compensation claims process, including the documentation required from providers and how it impacts provider networks and reimbursement.
- 5+ of progressive operational leadership in a public and/or private sector healthcare entity with at least three to five years in a position of direct operational accountability for multiple departments or units.
- Considerable experience managing contract operations including contract administration functions.
- Equivalent of Federal Minimum Background Investigation (MBI)

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in healthcare/business administration or a related field.
- Recent experience in public and/or private sector healthcare providing services to government programs.
- Ability to work within company's decision-making and organizational structure.
- Skill in examining and re-examining operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial and operational data and prepare business reports, projections, and recommendations.
- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short-and long-range goals.
- Skill in employee development and performance management.
- Ability to successfully manage change and growth.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to management team.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of business development, strategic planning, and tactical implementation.
- Ability to participate as a team member fostering collaborative decision- making

Pay Range
USD $145,200.00 - USD $181,500.00 /Yr.
