Join Our Team as a Security Officer at Brigham & Women's Hospital

Brigham & Women's Hospital is seeking dedicated Security Officers to help ensure a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. About the Role As a Security Officer, you'll play a vital role in maintaining a secure hospital environment by patrolling assigned areas, responding to incidents, and supporting both safety and patient care. You'll be part of a team that values professionalism, integrity, and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities: - Patrol hospital grounds and facilities, with special attention to areas with known security concerns. - Identify and report unsafe conditions or improperly secured property to prevent theft, injury, or damage. - Respond to and investigate complaints, potential criminal activity, and safety incidents. - Assist in restraining patients when necessary and respond to medical emergencies. - Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. - Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs. - Dispatch security personnel using integrated security systems. - Support dignitary protection, traffic control, and workplace/domestic safety situations. - Participate voluntarily in departmental committees and initiatives. Qualifications: Excellent communication and customer service skills. Patient Care Involvement: Yes - this role includes direct support in patient-related situations, including emergency response and behavioral health interventions. Experience Experience in hospital, security/police, emergency medical or customer services preferred 3-5 years preferred Why Join Us?
