Summary: Responsible for performing advanced image analysis and interpretation of medical images by utilizing specialized software and techniques to assist radiologists in diagnosing and evaluating medical conditions. Also collaborates closely with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely image analysis, enhance patient care, and contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions: Utilize specialized software and tools to analyze and interpret medical images, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and other diagnostic imaging modalities. -Apply image processing techniques to enhance image quality, optimize visualization, and improve diagnostic accuracy. -Perform quantitative measurements and analysis of image features, including lesion size, volume, density, and perfusion. -Collaborate with radiologists, researchers, and other healthcare professionals on research projects related to image analysis and interpretation. -Ensure the accuracy and integrity of image analysis by adhering to quality control protocols and participating in quality assurance activities. -Collaborate closely with radiologists, technologists, and other members of the healthcare team to discuss imaging findings, provide insights on image analysis results, and contribute to patient management decisions. -Maintain accurate and complete records of image analysis procedures, findings, and measurements.
