The Transfusion Service/Blood Bank Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations, technical oversight, and regulatory compliance of a high-complexity transfusion service within a large academic medical center. This service supports advanced patient care including massive transfusion protocols, neonatal and pediatric transfusion, stem cell and solid organ transplant, oncology, and specialized procedures such as therapeutic apheresis and red cell exchange. The supervisor ensures accurate and timely testing, safe blood product modification, and appropriate utilization of blood components while maintaining compliance with CAP, AABB, FDA, and hospital regulatory standards. The supervisor oversees the daily operations, staff supervision, quality, and regulatory compliance of the transfusion service, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely blood testing, product modification, and clinical support for complex patient care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $119,400 - $230,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $57.18 - $110.54 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
