HOOS FLEETKEEPERS TRAINING PROGRAM University Transit Service (UTS) at the University of Virginia's Department of Parking and Transportation is searching for candidates for the UTS HOOS FleetKeepers Training Program. The HOOS FleetKeepers Training Program provides structured coursework and paid on-the-job training as a part-time, staff wage FleetKeeper with UTS. FleetKeepers work within UTS to provide auxiliary support to our transportation services for the University of Virginia community. Upon completion of training, employees will have been onboarded at UVA, completed safety training and digital literacy skills instruction, and have the necessary workplace skills to serve a FleetKeeper for UTS. After training, employees will begin on-the-job training with UTS beginning Monday, January 5, 2026. Paid training includes:
Training will take place from Monday, December 1, 2025, to Friday, December 19, 2025. Training will be held five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Department of Parking & Transportation. FLEETKEEPER POSITION FleetKeepers work within University Transit Service to provide auxiliary support to our transportation services for the University of Virginia community. FleetKeepers ensure that our vehicles and facilities are clean, safe, and hygienic, maintaining a pleasant environment for the people we serve. Duties include but are not limited to:

Anticipated Hiring Range This is a part-time hourly wage position ($17.00/hour). Benefits ineligible. Up to ~20-hour flex work per week. Hour requirements are flexible after training is complete. Note: University Transit Service and Parking and Transportation have services that operate 24 hours per day / 7 days a week. As such, the FleetKeeper schedule may/will fall outside of the "normal" 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daytime schedule. FleetKeeper schedules, assignments, and workspaces will vary, so flexibility is required.
