What you'll do and what you'll bring:

The Assistant Coach for Women's Track & Field supports the Head Coach in all aspects of the program's operation, with an emphasis on student-athlete development, training, and competitive success. This position requires strong technical knowledge in one or more event groups (sprints, jumps, throws, or distance) and a commitment to fostering a positive student-athlete experience within NCAA Division I standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning, organizing, and conducting practice sessions and competitions.

  • Provide individual and group technical teaching and instruction to student-athletes in assigned event areas.

  • Support recruiting efforts by identifying, evaluating, and communicating with prospective student-athletes.

  • Promote the academic, athletic, and personal growth of student-athletes while ensuring adherence to NCAA, conference, and institutional policies.

  • Assist with meet management, team travel, equipment inventory, and other administrative duties as assigned.

  • Foster a team culture centered on integrity, discipline, and respect.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

  • Prior collegiate coaching or high-level competitive experience in track & field.

  • Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
