Job Title: Commercial Loan Sales & Service

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Commercial Loan Sales & Service Associate you will provide support for multiple officers in the Commercial Group, including the Regional President, Commercial Lenders, and Private Banking Officers. You will also uphold the German American high standard of excellence as the customer's go-to person, encouraging customers to call anytime with whatever needs they may have. With a limited degree of supervision, you are a problem solver, independently handling a wide range of administrative tasks.

What You'll Do:

  • A Day in the Life - You will provide excellent support to lenders, allowing them to concentrate their time on sales and new business. Your support includes making new prospect calls, obtaining preliminary information needed by the lender, assisting with daily customer activities and inquiries, and setting up appointments for the signing of documents. Communication is key as you work directly with the customer from the beginning, obtaining preliminary information from new prospects and existing clients, all the way through the end, reviewing documents, such as the closing checklist and other documentation for proper execution. Yours are the final set of eyes, making sure all elements of the transactions are obtained. Other customer contact may include collecting information needed by the lender, credit analyst team, or attorneys, making calls to new prospects, and contacting clients about sensitive matters, including overdrafts and past due payments.
  • You're Part of a Team - You are a member of the Commercial team which includes the Regional President, Commercial Lenders and Sales Assistants, and Private Bankers. You will have extensive interaction with attorneys, the credit department, loan operations, branches and other areas of the company on a daily basis. You have opportunities to work with other areas within banking, wealth management and insurance, as you cross sale opportunities for other products and services that will meet the customer's needs. You also assist other business partners, including but not limited mortgage lenders. This role offers amazing insight into the world of banking, in the commercial area and beyond.

What it Takes:

  • Ability to: communicate effectively (written and verbally), maintain confidentiality, work with speed and accuracy, grasp technical information quickly, and work independently and as a team member.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Bilingual/Multilingual
  • Knowledge of Banking, especially in the commercial area
