Engineering and Solution Architecture Support

Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Engineering and Solution Architecture Support to join our team in McLean, VA. This outstanding opportunity is a hybrid of engineering support and solution architecture, providing technical expertise to project teams and ensuring that our solutions are designed and implemented effectively. You will be a key resource in bridging the gap between high-level architectural designs and practical engineering implementation.

As an Engineering and Solution Architecture Support, you will:

• Serve as the first line of support for engineering teams, addressing technical questions, troubleshooting issues, and providing guidance on architectural patterns and best practices.
• Work closely with solution architects to translate business requirements into technical designs. This includes creating detailed diagrams, documentation, and proof-of-concepts.
• Review engineering implementations to ensure they align with established architectural standards and security policies. You'll identify potential issues and propose solutions.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Act as a liaison between the architecture team and engineering teams, ensuring clear communication and a smooth flow of information.
• Research new technologies and evaluate their potential use in our solutions, providing feedback and recommendations to the architecture team.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Eligible to acquire and maintain Government Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Four (4) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency.
• Must have a strong background in software development, cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and enterprise-level system integration.
• Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.

• Strong communication and team-building skills.
• Demonstrated experience working effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborating with diverse groups.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is highly desirable.
• Professional certifications in solution architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
• A solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices is a bonus.

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is 120k-130k.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
