Position Title: Lead Wire Cutting & Assembly

Wage: $18.00 - $20.50/hour, plus $1 shift premium and $1.50 lead premium

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 11:30am - 9:00pm (Monday - Thursday), 1:00pm - 5:00pm (Friday)

Ready to take the lead? QPS Employment is looking for a Second Shift Lead - Wire Cutting and Assembly in Fort Atkinson, WI. This is your chance to combine technical expertise with leadership skills to drive efficiency, quality, and teamwork on the shop floor.

The Second Shift Lead - Wire Cutting and Assembly plays a key role in both hands-on production and team leadership. This position is responsible for cutting and assembling wire harnesses to exact specifications, while also guiding and supporting second shift team members to meet production, quality, and safety standards.

The ideal candidate is skilled with wire harness tools and equipment, understands technical schematics, and leads by example to foster a productive and safe work environment.

Lead Wire Cutting & Assembly Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Operate wire cutting, stripping, crimping equipment and hand tools with a focus on accuracy and safety

- Assemble wire harnesses according to technical diagrams and detailed work orders

- Lead and mentor second shift team members while ensuring production goals and quality expectations are met

- Monitor workflow and assign tasks to support team efficiency

- Conduct in-process and final inspections of wire harness assemblies

- Train new and junior employees on tools, safety procedures, and standard assembly techniques

- Ensure tools and equipment are used and maintained properly

- Report material shortages and any production concerns to leadership in a timely manner

- Complete end-of-shift duties including documentation and facility lock-up

- Support and maintain 5S standards, safety policies, and improvement efforts

- Maintain accurate records of production output, scrap and rework as required

Lead Wire Cutting & Assembly Requirements:

- High School Diploma or GED

- Able to use measuring tools and perform basic math accurately

- Proficient in the use of all tools required for wire harness assembly

- Able to lift up to 35 pounds and work on your feet throughout the shift

- Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity
