Orthopedic/Cast Technician Surgery-Plas/Recons MZ Full Time 86142BR Job Summary The Orthopedic Cast Technician supports the clinical activity of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery provider and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery clinics. The Orthopedic Cast Technician is responsible to coordinate all activities related to casting including casting, splints, order and maintaining of supplies, inventory, and care of equipment. The cast technician will be responsible for the orderly maintenance and inventory of the Cast Room. She/he is responsible for knowledge of, competency and compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures as implemented by the department and/or work unit and UCSF Medical Center. The individual will room all Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery patients in addition to casting responsibilities. Additionally, adherence to departmental policies and procedures, including telephone and house standards is required. Please note: An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role. For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
