Synchron, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Submarine Program Analyst to provide support to the U.S. Navy's In-Service Attack Submarines Program Office (PMS 392) at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC! We are seeking a candidate to join our team and help provide

the US Navy with engineering, logistics, and project management support to SSN 688I, SSN 21 and SSN 774 Class Submarines. PMS 392 is part of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Program Executive Office Submarines (PEO SSN), and Team Submarine (TSUB).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Engineering and Technical support coordinating all matters relating to preparation, review, and approval of Ship Certification correspondence for Fast Cruise and Sea Trials, Follow-On certifications, and Unrestricted Operations (URO) certifications.
  • Coordinate routing and processing of all ship certification documents for concurrence and approval signatures.
  • Prepare coordinated reports, presentations, and briefings in support of program actions.
  • Analyze requirements to develop program reporting including specifications, data gathering and analytical techniques, and evaluation methodology.
  • Support studies, surveys, reviews, and/or research projects to evaluate program accomplishments, effectiveness, and/or compliance with meeting specific goals, objectives, rules, and regulations.
  • Develop evaluation plans, metrics, procedures, and methodology as a result of studies performed.



Education and Experience:

  • Experience with Submarine systems and related support equipment.
  • Knowledge of documentation used to operate and maintain submarine systems.
  • Seven (7) years of professional work experience supporting DoD or Navy projects, programs, maintenance planning and execution, or maritime operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
  • High comfort level working with and around all military/organizational levels, clients, customers, suppliers, and visitors.
  • Must be highly reliable and demonstrate personal initiative to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or related work experience.
  • Active Secret DoD Clearance.


Desired Education and Experience

  • Operational submarine experience and Maintenance Shipyard experience is preferred.



Work Location: Vicinity of Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC. Very limited telework potential.

Travel: Up to 10%
