We're looking for people who put their innovation to work to advance our success and their own. Become a Shipping Associate at nVent Management Company in Hutchins, TX. Collaborate with a team dedicated to achieving excellence in transportation and shipping.

2nd Shift Shipping associate

This is a full-time, 2nd shift role working Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM-10:30 PM

Location: nVent, 1002 E Cleveland Rd, Hutchins, TX 75141

Job responsibilities:
  • Prepare documents for carriers, verify the accuracy of orders, and coordinate shipment notifications and pick-ups.
  • Provide timely and accurate shipment information to inquiries. Arrange and coordinate order changes and expediting requests to achieve high customer happiness, providing follow-up as required.
  • Call carriers to schedule pick-ups and ensure timely movement of outbound freight.
  • Provide backup and assistance to other warehouse functions during peak workloads and absence coverage.
  • Resolve order issues, including open status and backorders.
  • Coordinate workload based on criteria such as carrier, service level, and shift.
  • Interact and work in both office and warehouse conditions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job criteria:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in warehouse processes and software systems, with MS Office and JDE preferred.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to business circumstances.
Physical & Environmental Demands:
  • Sit for extended periods.
  • Bend, squat, and reach above head.
  • Climb stairs and ladders.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
