Position Summary

Acuren Inspection is currently hiring a Chemist for operations in New Castle, Delaware. (LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY)



Responsibilities

    Prepare specimens and perform routine chemical analyses of metallic and polymeric samples using a variety of instruments and techniques
  • Preserve specimen integrity and identity following standard operating procedures
  • Utilize inductively coupled plasma optical emission, combustion, inert gas fusion, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and ion chromatography for elemental determinations and identification
  • Interact with clients periodically to review work instructions and test results
  • Routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and work space
  • Inventory and order consumables
  • Prepare analytical reports and documentation


Requirements

  • 2-4 yr Science Degree/Technical Certification from accredited school
  • Mechanical, mathematical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • English communication skills including basic grammar, spelling, punctuation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG/ALCOHOL AND BACKGROUND SCREENS.
