Accountant

• Enter accounts payable transactions into accounting systems (Oracle experience is an asset)
• Review invoices and cheque requests for proper documentation and approval
• Verify and correct account coding as needed
• Ensure GST/PST accuracy and calculate self-assessments when required
• Prepare account reconciliations and support month-end close activities
• Assist with bank deposits and other routine accounting tasks
• Perform general office administration and filing duties
• Provide backup support for payroll and other finance-related functions as required

• Must have two years of relevant experience
• Post-secondary training in accounting, finance, or administration (or 1-2 years of related experience)
• Experience with Oracle Financials or similar ERP systems considered an asset
• Strong numerical accuracy and high attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Self-starter with initiative to learn and grow
