Machine Operator

Wabtec is Hiring Machine Operators in McPherson, KS! Join a growing team at Wabtec, a leader in advanced manufacturing solutions. We're looking for skilled Machine Operators to help produce high-quality components in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Compensation: $21.50/hr

Shift: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Thursday (OT Friday as needed)

What You'll Do:

• Set up and operate machines to fabricate metal components
• Handle materials, tools, and equipment safely
• Read and interpret blueprints, 3D prints, and schematics
• Complete production and quality documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
• Collaborate with team and engineering to meet deadlines
• Support continuous improvement and follow safety/5S standards

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5+ years in manufacturing or custom build environment preferred
• Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with hand tools, measuring devices, and computers
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and 3D prints
• Stand for up to 10 hours; lift 25 lbs; occasional bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching
• Strong communication skills and accountability
