The Position:

Chameleon Integrated Services is currently looking for a Senior Firewall Engineer/Project Lead to support one of our state-level clients.

Overview:

The Senior Firewall Engineer/Project Lead will lead the firewall migration planning, implementation, and support project for the State of Missouri's Office of Cyber Security. Responsible for overall technical direction and coordination of firewall configuration activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Review the current firewall implementation in both the primary and secondary datacenters and organize and rebuild rules based on naming and building standards
  • Build out the firewall configurations on the new firewall pair using best practices
  • Migrate traffic to new Palo Alto 7050 firewall appliance
  • Configure new Palo Alto firewalls from scratch based on network information given
  • Support and act as ACL Rule subject matter experts for new systems integrating into the state security stack

Education & Experience
  • 4+ years of experience managing & building Palo Alto next generation firewalls
  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering
  • Experience with architecting and configuring firewall network connections
  • Experience modifying the layered configurations within the Palo Alto firewall
  • Experience with architecting rule organization and naming standards

Preferred Experience:
  • 1+ years of experience creating naming and building standards
  • 1+ years of experience in the State of Missouri
