SUMMARY
The Physician Relations Representative serves as a liaison between Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) and community mental health practices. The representative leverages community provider relationships to build and maintain awareness, preference, collaboration and loyalty to CHCO and its System of Care. The representative develops and executes tactical plans to meet the strategic goals of the organization and the Pediatric Mental Health Institute (PMHI) to achieve assigned objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.

* Develops and cultivates relationships with community referring providers/practices in order to build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships among referring physicians and CHCO.
* Acts as a liaison to referring providers per geographic territory assigned through referral development, customer service and marketing/communication initiatives.
* Develops and executes sales/frequency plans per geographic territory through a proactive sales approach with measurable visit goals.
* Executes tactical growth/referral development plans as assigned.
* Coordinates Continuing Medical Education (CME), conferences, events and other educational programs.
* Develops advanced knowledge of CHCO and its services to serve as a community resource.
* Utilizes sales skills to provide benefits based on community provider needs.
* Communicates key referring physician messages per hospital priorities or initiatives.
* Partners with internal service lines, Network of Care locations and key faculty to promote new and existing programs, services and providers to the referring community.
* Assists in the development of growth strategies for business retention and new referral sources.
* Assists in issue resolution with referring partners to cultivate partner relationships and to provide a feedback loop to the organization for potential operational improvements.
* Evaluates and interprets market utilization data and market demographics, including market share data for service lines, ensuring that priorities are identified for both physicians and patient populations, utilizing familiarity with hospital operations and existing reporting, tools and dashboards.
* Interprets current physician referral patterns, trends, and financial margins, ensuring that resources are optimized.
* Serves as team liaison, as assigned, to CHCO operational and service improvement project teams that impact the referring provider community.
* Performs lead duties for other Representatives which include, but are not limited to, coaching, training, monitoring, assisting with goal setting, and managing the flow of day-to-day operations.
* Operates as a subject matter expert, whose expertise is relied on by peers, leadership, and community partners.

SCOPE AND LEVEL
Guidelines: Guidelines are generally but not always clearly applicable, requiring the employee to exercise judgment in selecting the most pertinent guideline, interpret precedents, adapt standard practices to differing situations, and recommend alternative actions in situations without precedent.
Complexity: Duties assigned are generally complex and may be of substantial intricacy. Work assignment is performed within an established framework under general instructions but requires simultaneous coordination of assigned functions or projects in various stages of completion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification

* EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, public health administration or other related field.
* EXPERIENCE - Five years of physician relations, business development, sales or marketing experience.
* EQUIVALENCY - Professional relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $88,253.00 to $132,379.50
