Internship for the Complex Engineering team at an engineering company with a machine and fabrication shop on site. There are a handful of engineering tools that require updates and improvements in our engineering processes. The position would involve working with engineering drawings and designs that must comply with industry standards. It would be great fit for a student interested in the design of the complex systems required to safely operate large industrial equipment. Added benefit of getting to see the final product with an on-site manufacturing facility.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Daily responsibilities include learning the details of auxiliary support systems to rotating equipment in order to simplify engineering tasks and improve customer communication.

  • Individual will be responsible for tracking the progress of their projects and working on multiple different processes at a time.

Skills & Abilities Required

  • Will have hands on machine assembly or troubleshooting experience

  • Will have strong communication skills

  • Will have strong critical thinking skills

  • Will have technical writing skills, in reports to document findings

  • Will have strong personal organization and time management skills

Preferred

  • Understanding of complex systems and fluids

  • Critical thinking experience with the drive to learn new skills

  • Capable of meeting short deadlines

  • General understanding of engineering sciences and be comfortable engaging in technical communications

Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering/Junior or Senior

  • Software experience: Microsoft office products, CAD software (We use NX, but not required)
