As a Security Officer - Access Control - Full Time in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing entry points at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your primary duties will involve conducting regular patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter potential security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by verifying credentials, responding to situations as they arise, and communicating clearly with both visitors and team members. Pay Rate: $23.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Control access to the premises by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access or activity.
• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as appropriate.
• Document and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any irregularities.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed by site procedures and Allied Universal protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence at access points to help to deter potential security-related risks.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
