Job Description




As a Armed Security Officer - Library Buildings in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a government facility. In this position, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the location, staying visible to help deter potential security-related incidents and provide reassurance to those on site. Your presence and attention to detail will be instrumental in responding promptly to any security-related concerns or emergencies. This is an armed post, and you will be expected to carry out your duties with professionalism and discretion. You will also engage with visitors and staff, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. What You'll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the overall security-related needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the location to help to deter unauthorized behavior and/or access.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and emergency responders when necessary, adhering to established procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of the unique environment and challenges associated with a government facility, adjusting patrols and responses as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Availability across various days and shifts
  • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
