As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a shelter location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, staying visible to help deter security-related incidents, and offering outstanding customer service to all individuals on site. You will be a reassuring presence, addressing concerns with professionalism and communicating clearly with both staff and visitors. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to maintain order within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual circumstances.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or any unusual observations.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and shelter staff to address concerns and provide assistance as appropriate.
• Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and the client site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
