POSITION SPECIFICS Penn State Mont Alto is seeking student employees to support the mission of Student Affairs. Employment locations include the Wiestling Student Center, the Student Life Office, and the Wellness House. Student Affairs student employees are full-time, undergraduate students atMont Altowho serve as group facilitators, resource persons, role models, and ambassadors for Penn State Mont Alto. Job DutiesStudents in this opening can be from any major or program. These openings will be cross-trained and will assist with providing support and the execution of events and projects including:
Student employees will assist with event promotion utilizing dry-erase boards on campus and by ensuring the creation and distribution of flyers, posters, digital signage, eMails and photos on campus and via social media. Student employees will support the regular operation and maintenance of the spaces in which they work, including student desk coverage, greeting visitors, taking messages, unlocking rooms and access to entertainment opportunities, completing equipment rentals, doing rounds and tracking building usage, hosting events and creating a welcoming environment for students. Staff will also complete clerical duties including mail retrieval, copying and collecting various forms. Other responsibilities include assisting with student organization needs and requests. Top performance requires excellent communication, organization, interpersonal, creativity and collaboration skills and is preferred. Requirements and Qualifications Selected candidates for this role will:
Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to the development of a community where diversity and sustainability are valued. Evening and Weekend hours are mandatory and numerous shifts are available. Experience with Microsoft Office and photography is a plus. Vacancies will be open until filled.
