Digital Product Owner - Billing Transformation (Remote) Contract Length: 18+ Months Location: Remote (U.S. or Canada) About the Opportunity We're seeking a Digital Product Owner to lead a major Billing Transformation initiative for a financial services client. This is a long-term consulting opportunity focused on modernizing a legacy billing system and improving the client experience. The current platform is built on a mainframe with fragmented, hard-coded processes. Over the next three years, the goal is to eliminate mainframe dependency and implement a scalable, intuitive billing solution. Key Responsibilities * Define and own the product vision and roadmap for billing modernization. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Technology, Finance) to shape a unified client experience. * Translate business, client, and regulatory requirements into actionable user stories and prioritized backlogs. * Work within legacy system constraints while guiding migration to modern platforms. * Align product development with enterprise architecture and long-term strategy. * Promote standardization and simplification across billing processes. * Monitor and report progress on key outcomes: client satisfaction, billing accuracy, operational efficiency, and modernization milestones. Ideal Candidate Profile * 5-8+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, preferably in banking, payments, or financial services. * Proven success in driving digital transformation within legacy environments. * Strong technical literacy, including experience with APIs and platform migrations. * Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills to align diverse stakeholders. * Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution and delivery.
